Fieldwork for International Japanese Studies

To deepen understanding of Japan and its culture, we organize field trips to historical cities and regions that have played a key role in shaping Japanese culture. During one field trip, students visited the Mt. Fuji area to learn how Mt. Fuji has influenced Japanese society, culture, and religion, as well as to explore efforts to preserve its value for future generations.

Student-led Field trips

We organize various student (SA:Student Assistant)-led field trips for international students to visit locations beyond Nagoya. In the past, we have visited places such as Ise Shrine, Gero Hot Springs, Himeji Castle, and the Great Buddha of Nara as part of these trips. These are excellent opportunities to make Japanese friends as well.
