Scholarships for Exchange Students

Scholarship : ￥25,000/month

*The number of students granted with the scholarship varies by partner university. For more information, please contact the international office at your home university.
By using the scholarship money granted to exchange students for the dormitory fee(￥25,000), exchange students can stay at the university dormitory virtually free of charge.

FULFILLING CAMPUS FACILITY

Most of Exchange students study at Tempaku Campus and Dome-mae Campus. A shuttle runs between the two campuses and is available for exchange students.

Tempaku Campus

Located in the eastern part of Nagoya City, Tempaku Campus is the main campus of Meijo University and is home to six faculties: Law, Business Management, Economics, Science and Technology, Agriculture, and Information Technology

Global Plaza

Global Plaza is a space where everyone is encouraged to communicate in English, and it is a popular gathering spot for both exchange students and Japanese students on campus.

Cafeteria

You can choose from a variety of menu items including daily specials and limited-time meals, and everything tastes great! Menu items are available at a student-friendly price of around 500 yen. Restaurants that open early in the morning serve breakfast specials, which is very helpful for dormitory students.

Green Bakery

At Green Bakery, you can indulge in a variety of freshly baked breads every day. With its warm, cozy atmosphere, it‘s the perfect spot to study solo or enjoy some much needed me-time.

Gym

A gymnasium and a training room equipped with high-quality fitness facilities is available on campus.

Nagoya Dome-mae Campus

The Nagoya Dome-mae Campus will lead the university’s move toward internationalization and will also aim to become a hub for community-based collaborations. This campus is home to 3 faculties, Foreign Studies, Human Studies, and Urban Science.

Global Plaza

Similar to Tempaku campus, Global Plaza is a space where everyone is encouraged to communicate in English. You can enjoy a selection of manga and DVDs, and seasonal events are held there, providing an opportunity for Japanese and international students to connect.

With its stylish cafe-like atmosphere, you can choose from a variety of menu options, including daily specials, all of which are delicious! The menu items are priced around 500 yen, making it a student-friendly option. It’s the perfect place to study or hang out with friends.

Shake

As a hub for interaction and activities between local communities, businesses, and universities, “Shake” aims to be another place of learning where students, alumni, faculty, and staff, as well as people from the local community, government, and businesses, can interact freely across ages and professions, sharing knowledge, learning, and creativity.

Gym

Fitness bikes are available at Dome campus, and sports events are held where you can play various games and interact with Japanese students.

Yagoto Campus

Yagoto Campus is home to Meijo University’s Faculty of Pharmacy and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for education and research in the field.

DORMITORY

Our dormitory is ideally located just a 3-minute walk from Tempaku Campus. For your safety, the entrance is equipped with automatic locking doors. Each dorm room is a single, complete with its own kitchen and bathroom.

Dormitory fee: 25,000/month

By using the scholarship money granted to exchange students (?25,000) for the rent, exchange students can stay at the university dormitory virtually free of charge.

Conveniently located near the station so that you’ll never get lost.

Our dormitory is just a few minutes’ walk from the Tempaku campus and is also conveniently located near the station, offering excellent access. There are also convenience stores and many other shops around the dormitory, allowing you to live a comfortable life.

Clean room with reliable security systems

The clean room is equipped with an air conditioner, which keeps the room comfortable in both summer and winter. If you have any questions or issues, the dormitory manager will assist you. With the automatic double-locking doors, you can feel safe and secure.

furniture and home appliances.

Refrigerator, bed, air conditioner, and launderette are available. Dormitory staff quickly deal with a burned-out light bulb and other faulty electrical appliances, if any. The high speed Wi-Fi is also a plus.

The open structure allows you to live a comfortable dormitory life.

Vacuum cleaners, clothes irons, and bicycles are available to borrow at no charge, so there’s no need to purchase these items.

The hotel-like lobby facilitates communication with other students and the dormitory manager.

The double security system ensures your safety. A laundromat exclusively for women is also available.

Dormitory manager

The dormitory is a safe living space where students can live with peace of mind in a safe environment. I carefully explain the cultural differences between Japan and their home countries to international students in support of their daily lives.

“Better is a neighborhood aunt that is near than a mother far off.” This is my belief as a dormitory manager who takes care of dormitory students. As a guardian of students, I always tell them to ask me whenever they have a problem. I used to work as a health professional, so I try to check their health conditions and also explain how to take medications. Because the area around the dormitory is relatively well-lit and safe, you can come back to the dormitory from the station safely even during late hours.
